DIVE Northampton Club
The most important thing about our Dive Club is that it is open to all divers, regardless of certification. We have members from PADI, BSAC, ANDI, TDI, IANTD and many more. Whatever your certification, you'll be very welcome. The Club is there to cater for those people who want to keep diving and join in with the many activities we organise throughout the year
Although as Divers, we mainly want to dive, sometimes the pool is the only option. Pool sessions are held regularly at Cripps Swimming Pool in the grounds of Northampton General Hospital. The Dive Club meets, as in sits around with a drink and chats, on a Thursday and Sunday evening after the Club Pool Session. The Pool is crystal clear, 25 metres long and in the deep end is 3 metres deep, ideal for practice (try out that new equipment) and for training. We cannot promise that you will see too many fish, but we can promise you a great time! After the pool session the fun continues in the Restaurant and Bar situated in the same building as the Pool, where great food and cheap drinks are served till late at night. Lots of club members come to these sessions to arrange trips and to meet new friends.
The pool is open to all Club Members at no charge. If you wish to dive, you will need to come to the shop about an hour and a half before the pool session to organise (and pay for where necessary) any equipment you need. If you intend to use your own equipment, then you can just come straight to the pool, making sure you don't come down to pool-side until after the start time of our session. There is no minimum period for Membership and a Club Member can switch between levels, once a year, at no cost. * Kit is subject to availability and is a daily basis.
