REBREATHER LEVEL 4 DIVE MASTER

PURPOSE OF THE COURSE
This qualification confirms a diver who has commendable diving skills, positive attitude, role model manners, sound rescue skills, professional level of general diving knowledge, dive supervision and organisational abilities. The course is designed to train students in the safe use and technology of Rebreather diving with no decompression, up to 1.2 PpO2 and to a maximum depth of 40 metres/132 feet.
PREREQUISITES
To be a minimum of 18 years old.
To be a certified diver for at least 6 months.
Completed and passed Level 4 academic section Quick Quiz and Exam.
Have a minimum of 35 hours logged in water time (confined and open water) on a rebreather of which at least 6 hours are carrying a side sling alternate air source.
Have a RAID Level 3 or equivalent certification from a recognised training agency and/or complete, to the satisfaction of the instructor, the minimum in water rebreather Level 3 skills. The instructor is to evaluate these skills.
RAID rebreather Speciality certification or equivalent certification from a recognised training agency OR Complete and pass, in addition to the core rebreather Level 3 training, the academic Quick Quiz and Exam sections of a RAID Rebreather Speciality programme.
To submit Navigation, Night/Restricted Visibility, and Deep certificates (of which at least 5 hours are between 27- 40 m/89-132 ft) and/or equivalent.
Submit a current Rescue Breathing/CPR Training and Oxygen Provider certificate. (DAN/equivalent).
Documented proof of prerequisite requirements needs to be presented to the Dive Centre for approval prior to any in water training.
OPEN CIRCUIT CROSS OVER TO REBREATHER
This Level does not cater for open circuit cross over to rebreather. Only Level 3 allows experienced open circuit divers to enter the programme/cross over to be certified to dive rebreathers.
CERTIFIED REBREATHER LEVEL 4 DIVEMASTER DUTIES
Supervise recreational and training activities by organising and directing dives.
Assist an instructor during in water training sessions for all courses or subject to the standards detailed in a Speciality programme.
Guide dives for certified divers to a maximum depth of 40 metres/132 feet water.
Accompany students under the direct supervision of an instructor during surface swims to/from entry/exit point, and navigation exercises.
Remain with other students when the instructor conducts a skill; for example, ascents/descents.
Accompany students during Levels 2, 3 and Level 4 under the direct supervision of an instructor.
Conduct Local Area Orientation dives for certified divers.
Conduct rebreather review refresher skills in confined water only.
Conduct a Discover RAID Rebreather in confined water only, subject to rebreather Speciality standards.
Conduct open circuit review refresher skills in confined water only.
Conduct a Discover open circuit in confined water only.
Maintain current liability insurance and membership, subject to local laws.
COURSE CONTENT
On-line e-learning academic presentations, quizzes, exam and practical skills as detailed.
In water sessions, totalling a minimum 7 hours logged underwater using a registered rebreather whilst carrying a side sling alternate air source or subject to the rebreather Speciality specific requirements. The student will be required to complete a quick written quiz with the Instructor prior to the commencement of any in water training

CERTIFICATION
The minimum logged hours, as detailed have been completed. All confined and /or open water skills have been acknowledged and accepted on-line (through the RAID web site) as mastered by the certifying RAID instructor and student. The RAID Dive Centre has confirmed certification on-line through the RAID web site.
